Hua Hin is Thailands premier beach resort and it's vibrant atmosphere is suitable for couples, families and the young at heart. Hua Hin has been a beach resort since the 1920's, when King Rama VII built the Klai Kangwon summer palace. The current King of Thailand and his family reside in Hua Hin for most of the year. Hua Hin beach has full restaurant and bar facilities and it is possible to eat lunch or have a few drinks on the white sands while the warm waters of the Gulf of Thailand laps over your feet.
Hua Hin does not attempt to compete with downmarket Thai resorts and does not have flashing lights and nightclubs on every corner but be assured that this is a premier resort, because you have the choice of literally hundreds of bars and restaurants, many offering the finest quality foods unmatched in quality and value for money. Prices are a fraction of UK prices and a deep fried red snapper fish cooked with Thai herbs can be purchased for approximately £4, and that includes a drink!!
There are numerous festivals and events in Hua Hin, including the Jazz festival which attracts quality acts from all over the world.
Shopping addicts will be spoiled for choice with the Chat Chai day market, the famous night market, hundreds of shops and stalls, and for quality genuine designer wear, the Market Village shopping mall is close to hand.
The more active amongst you can watch and participate in kick boxing, kite boarding, jet skiing, go karting, horse riding, elephant riding and ten pin bowling, or play a round of golf at any one of seven international standard golf courses, within a 20 minute drive from the town.
If that's too energetic, then pamper yourself at one of the international standard massage and spa resorts where you will receive a choice of many exhilarating or relaxing treatments.
